This year's sale is noticeably later than usual. Big Billion Days began on 27 September in 2024 and on 23 September in 2025, when it ran until 2 October. The later start follows the festive calendar: Diwali falls on 8 November 2026, so the whole festive shopping season has shifted a couple of weeks forward.

If you have seen older blogs listing "23 September to 2 October 2026" as the BBD date, that is last year's window carried over. The confirmed 2026 start is 9 October.

Who Gets Big Billion Days Early Access?

Early access on 8 October is open to Flipkart Plus members, Flipkart VIP/Black members and holders of eligible Flipkart co-branded credit cards. These shoppers get a 24-hour head start on deals before the public sale opens.

Two things worth knowing before you plan around it:

• Early access gives you first pick of limited-stock deals, but it does not guarantee every advertised product will stay in stock through that window.
• Eligible Plus and premium members can get a 12% instant bank discount during the early access window, a little higher than the 10% general offer. Flipkart has not published the per-card caps and minimum order values yet, so check the offer terms on the product page before paying.

Flipkart Plus membership is tied to SuperCoins earned on past orders. If you are close to the threshold, a few small purchases before 8 October may be enough to qualify.

Axis Bank and ICICI Bank are the official banking partners for Big Billion Days 2026. Eligible debit and credit cards from both banks get up to 10% instant discount during the main sale.

Smartphones, laptops and electronics will get the most visibility this year. Samsung Galaxy and Intel Core Ultra appear as title sponsors on Flipkart's Big Billion Days microsite, which points to heavy placement for Galaxy phones and AI laptops. Sponsorship alone does not confirm a specific discount, though.

Mobiles. Promotional teasers have shown the iPhone 17 below ₹80,000 and select Samsung Galaxy models below ₹60,000. Other phones tipped to feature include the Galaxy S25 and S26 series and the Google Pixel 10. Treat these as teasers until the actual sale price shows on the product page.

Flipkart Upcoming Sales 2026: The Full Calendar

After Big Billion Days, Flipkart usually runs several more sales before the year ends. Only Big Billion Days has confirmed dates right now. The table below separates what is confirmed from what is still expected, based on how Flipkart has scheduled these sales in past years.

Big Bang Diwali Sale. This is usually the last major festive sale before Diwali, with its own early access for Plus members and a separate set of bank partners. Both sales overlap this year. Amazon has confirmed that its Great Indian Festival opens on 8 October 2026, the same day as Flipkart's early access. That makes the first two days of October's second week the busiest online shopping window of the season.

The biggest savings come from stacking the sale price, a bank offer, a coupon and SuperCoins on the same order. Here is how to set that up before 9 October:

Flipkart first ran "Big Billion Day" as a one-day sale in 2014. In October 2015, it returned as the multi-day "Big Billion Days," exclusive to the Flipkart mobile app, and Flipkart added fulfilment centres to handle the demand. That edition recorded around US$300 million in gross merchandise volume, with fashion leading in order volume and mobiles leading in value.
